I’m pleased to endorse Patricia Pepper for Ontario Women’s Liberal Commission - Regional Vice-President East.

Patricia was an early supporter of the Liberal Seniors’ Commission and she has been a strong partner in our campaign to create the Commission. That partnership has resulted in our joint commitment to advocate for the interests and concerns of Ontario Liberal Seniors and Liberal Women.

Her years long dedication to the Liberal values we all hold dear is evidenced by her long term commitment to Liberal Women and to her indefatigable volunteer work to elect Liberal candidates in Eastern Region. There is no stronger volunteer than Patricia. Campaign after campaign, door to door, she has worked shoulder to shoulder with Candidates, volunteers, and staff to build the Ontario Liberal Party. Her experience and skill - learned over years - is the key to successful campaigns.

These and many other reasons are why she has my unwavering endorsement for the Ontario Women’s Liberal Commission Regional Vice-President East.

I’ve known Patricia for over 40 years. I replaced Patricia as the Eastern Ontario OWLC representative sometime in 2000 or so and that started my journey with the OWLC.

We’ve worked together organizing events for Liberal women in all levels of government. Patricia was always looking for Liberal women to run for office and mentored many who ran or who wanted to run. She generously donated to Liberal women running for office. She organized events to educate and train women about politics, to raise money for the Margaret Campbell Fund, to celebrate Liberal women who were successful in being elected, as well as celebrate the women who were nearly elected. In doing those events Patricia had no hesitation in using her personal funds to make the events successful and professional.

Patricia is a true and strong Liberal. She exemplifies leadership, commitment to Liberal values, engagement with Liberal women through recruitment, training and mentorship, and a force to reckon with!

I highly endorse Patricia for the OWLC VP East Ontario. She will invigorate OWLC and lead OWLC in Eastern Ontario.

Patricia brings an extraordinary record of leadership and service to this role. A retired teacher and social worker, she has also served on Parliament Hill, supporting Members of Parliament and Ministers and has served the Ontario Liberal Party in numerous volunteer capacities. Beyond her professional life, she has dedicated decades to building stronger, safer, and more inclusive communities.

She was the founding Chair and later President of Nelson House, an organization providing shelter and support for women and children fleeing violence. She also served as President and board member of the Nepean, Rideau, and Osgoode Community Resource Centre, which delivers essential social, food security, and community support services to local families. Patricia was an active member of the Coalition for a Health & Community Centre in Ottawa-Carleton, advocating for accessible community health resources, and contributed her energy to Habitat for Humanity National Capital Region, helping create safe and affordable housing for families in need.

As East Region Vice-President of the OWLC, Patricia has been a tireless advocate for women’s voices in politics. She has organized and led major events such as the “Add Women Change Policy” roundtable and “A Celebration of Women in Politics.” These events not only created space for women’s voices to shape policy but also raised significant funds for the Margaret Campbell Fund — a dedicated fund that provides critical support to first-time Liberal women candidates running in provincial elections. Patricia’s efforts have directly helped ensure that more women have the resources and confidence to step forward, run strong campaigns, and win.

She has also spent countless hours mentoring women, encouraging their political involvement, and working hands-on to strengthen candidate campaigns across Eastern Ontario.

Patricia Pepper has spent her life empowering others and building the Liberal movement. With her passion, her experience, and her proven track record of mentorship, community leadership, and campaign support, she is exactly the leader we need to continue representing the East Region on the OWLC Executive.

As the current VP East Region of OWLC and Chair of Ottawa Regional federal Women’s Club for the National Women’s Liberal Commission, Patricia has years of demonstrated commitment to women in politics in Ontario. Her promotion of the Margaret Campbell Fund has served to encourage women of all ages to choose politics.

A proud member of the Nepean Women’s Liberal Association, Patricia currently serves as President. Over the decades, she has held the roles of both President and Vice-President at various intervals. Under her leadership, the Association has remained one of the oldest and most active women’s Liberal clubs in Ontario. For her contribution to OLP and the promotion of women, Patricia has been recognized by her peers with the presentation of the Evans-Portch Award, the highest award for volunteerism offered by the Ontario Liberal Party.

Patricia has held executive roles in the Party including President of the provincial and federal riding associations for Nepean-Carleton, Nepean, and Carleton ridings. As a community leader Patricia was the founding Chair and past President of Nelson House of Ottawa-Carleton women’s shelter. She is also a former President and Director of the Nepean, Rideau and Osgoode Community Resource Centre.

Patricia is deeply engaged in policy development, particularly in areas impacting women and their families. I can think of no more qualified candidate to be Vice President Eastern Region for OWLC and I am pleased to offer my unqualified support for her re-election.

Patricia Pepper is a long time-over 45 years- member of the Ontario Liberal Party and actively involved in the OWLC for almost as long. Patricia has held many positions in OWLC at the executive and riding levels. Her knowledge and experience has been instrumental in the creation of local area Women's Associations, providing support to countless others, organizing, collaborating and promoting regional OWLC events. Patricia uses her expertise in the search for female candidates across Ontario. She organizes and engages the Eastern OWLC women to support female candidates in provincial elections.
