Patricia doesn’t just set the standard for women in leadership; she embodies it.

Over the past two years, I’ve had the privilege of witnessing Patricia’s brilliance firsthand on the OWLC Executive. She is an inspiring and influential leader whose wisdom, initiative, and creativity have elevated our team. I’ve personally benefited from her counsel, her strategic insights, and her ability to turn ideas into action.

What sets Patricia apart is her commitment to lifting others. She has built a pipeline of leaders within OWLC and beyond, encouraging women to step into leadership roles and run as candidates. Her dedication to nurturing talent is not only admirable but transformative.

Our party and women and families across Ontario are stronger because Patricia is at the table. I am proud to endorse her for Regional Vice President, East Region, and confident that she will continue to strengthen our movement and shape the future of the Ontario Liberal Party.

Marilyn Raphael

President, Ontario Women’s Liberal Commission

I’m pleased to endorse Patricia Pepper for Ontario Women’s Liberal Commission - Regional Vice-President East.

Patricia was an early supporter of the Liberal Seniors’ Commission and she has been a strong partner in our campaign to create the Commission. That partnership has resulted in our joint commitment to advocate for the interests and concerns of Ontario Liberal Seniors and Liberal Women.

Her years long dedication to the Liberal values we all hold dear is evidenced by her long term commitment to Liberal Women and to her indefatigable volunteer work to elect Liberal candidates in Eastern Region. There is no stronger volunteer than Patricia. Campaign after campaign, door to door, she has worked shoulder to shoulder with Candidates, volunteers, and staff to build the Ontario Liberal Party. Her experience and skill - learned over years - is the key to successful campaigns.

These and many other reasons are why she has my unwavering endorsement for the Ontario Women’s Liberal Commission Regional Vice-President East.

Sheila Bryan

Chair, Ontario Liberal Seniors’ Commission

The engagement of, and support for women in the Ontario Liberal Party and most recently in Eastern Ontario is due in large part to Patricia’s tenacious investment in women and their leadership roles. I credit Patricia’s guidance and encouragement to me joining the Party first as your Vice President for the Eastern Region and then as an honoured candidate.

Her vision, leadership and thoughtfulness combined with her vast knowledge and experience continues to shape our culture of inclusion and for which I and so many are eternally grateful. We need Patricia and so value her continued commitment to the OLP.

Lorna Jean Edmonds, PhD

Past Candidate, Leeds—Grenville—Thousand Islands and Rideau Lakes

Past Vice-President East Region

I’ve known Patricia for over 40 years. I replaced Patricia as the Eastern Ontario OWLC representative sometime in 2000 or so and that started my journey with the OWLC.

We’ve worked together organizing events for Liberal women in all levels of government. Patricia was always looking for Liberal women to run for office and mentored many who ran or who wanted to run. She generously donated to Liberal women running for office. She organized events to educate and train women about politics, to raise money for the Margaret Campbell Fund, to celebrate Liberal women who were successful in being elected, as well as celebrate the women who were nearly elected. In doing those events Patricia had no hesitation in using her personal funds to make the events successful and professional.

Patricia is a true and strong Liberal. She exemplifies leadership, commitment to Liberal values, engagement with Liberal women through recruitment, training and mentorship, and a force to reckon with!

I highly endorse Patricia for the OWLC VP East Ontario. She will invigorate OWLC and lead OWLC in Eastern Ontario.

Alicia S. Natividad, B.A. L.L.B.

Chair, National Women’s Liberal Commission

Patricia Pepper is a remarkable leader, a tireless advocate for women of all backgrounds, and a driving force in advancing community services in Nepean and beyond.

As a community activist, Patricia has held many influential roles: Founding Chair (1989) and later President of Nelson House, Past President and long-time Board Member of the Nepean, Rideau and Osgoode Community Resource Centre, and past member of the Coalition for Health & Community Centre in Ottawa-Carleton. She has also dedicated many years of service to Habitat for Humanity (National Capital Region). Even today, she continues to support these organizations while remaining actively engaged in politics, ensuring that the voices of Ottawa’s citizens are represented at municipal, provincial, and federal levels.

On a personal level, I came to know Patricia during my tenure as President of the Ottawa West–Nepean PLA. Her knowledge of the Liberal Party, community networks, and candidates is unmatched. She became my trusted mentor and has mentored hundreds of individuals throughout her extensive volunteer career. Her political insight, strategic acumen, and generosity in sharing her expertise set her apart as one of the most respected leaders within the party.

At FROttawaDW, Patricia is a founding member and currently serves as Vice Chair, Indigenous and Multicultural Communities. In this role, she has excelled, bringing forward more nominations than any other member and ensuring the organization’s growth and success. Her dedication is evident in every task she takes on—whether organizing, mentoring, or advocating. Quite simply, FROttawaDW would not be the success it is today without her vision, energy, and commitment.

Patricia also plays a critical role in City of Ottawa commemorations, ensuring that the contributions of women are meaningfully recognized and celebrated. Her ability to combine political skill, community knowledge, and inclusive leadership makes her an invaluable force in both civic and political life.

In every respect, Patricia Pepper is a role model, a mentor, and a true trailblazer. Her knowledge, commitment, and unwavering service have enriched her community and inspired those around her.

Maria Ricci

Chair, Ottawa Distinguished Women

I am proud to endorse Patricia Pepper for East Region Vice-President of the Ontario Women’s Liberal Commission (OWLC).

Patricia brings an extraordinary record of leadership and service to this role. A retired teacher and social worker, she has also served on Parliament Hill, supporting Members of Parliament and Ministers and has served the Ontario Liberal Party in numerous volunteer capacities. Beyond her professional life, she has dedicated decades to building stronger, safer, and more inclusive communities.

She was the founding Chair and later President of Nelson House, an organization providing shelter and support for women and children fleeing violence. She also served as President and board member of the Nepean, Rideau, and Osgoode Community Resource Centre, which delivers essential social, food security, and community support services to local families. Patricia was an active member of the Coalition for a Health & Community Centre in Ottawa-Carleton, advocating for accessible community health resources, and contributed her energy to Habitat for Humanity National Capital Region, helping create safe and affordable housing for families in need.

As East Region Vice-President of the OWLC, Patricia has been a tireless advocate for women’s voices in politics. She has organized and led major events such as the “Add Women Change Policy” roundtable and “A Celebration of Women in Politics.” These events not only created space for women’s voices to shape policy but also raised significant funds for the Margaret Campbell Fund — a dedicated fund that provides critical support to first-time Liberal women candidates running in provincial elections. Patricia’s efforts have directly helped ensure that more women have the resources and confidence to step forward, run strong campaigns, and win.

She has also spent countless hours mentoring women, encouraging their political involvement, and working hands-on to strengthen candidate campaigns across Eastern Ontario.

Patricia Pepper has spent her life empowering others and building the Liberal movement. With her passion, her experience, and her proven track record of mentorship, community leadership, and campaign support, she is exactly the leader we need to continue representing the East Region on the OWLC Executive.

That’s why I wholeheartedly support Patricia Pepper for East Region Vice-President of the OWLC.

Suzanne Elliott

President, Carleton Provincial Liberal Association

Vice-President, Policy & Constitutional Affairs, Ontario Rural and Northern Commission

It is with deep respect, genuine admiration, and complete confidence that I proudly endorse Patricia Pepper for re-election as Vice-President, East Region of the Ontario Women’s Liberal Commission (OWLC).

Having served on the OWLC Executive alongside Patricia this past term, , I have witnessed firsthand the remarkable impact of her leadership—not only in the East Region, but across the entire Ontario Women’s Liberal Commission. Patricia brings a wealth of experience, a compassionate heart, an incredible work ethic and an unrelenting commitment to empowering women from all backgrounds. Her leadership style is defined by integrity, tireless dedication, and a collaborative spirit that inspires those around her.

Patricia offers invaluable guidance and mentorship to fellow OWLC Executive Members, prospective candidates and women of all ages across East Region. As a Regional Vice President, she leads by example—particularly in outreach, organizing, and fundraising efforts. Under her leadership, the East Region has become the most active and engaged region within the OWLC. From increasing the number of women’s clubs in the region to fostering community connections and leading fundraising initiatives, Patricia has raised the bar for what regional leadership can accomplish.

In my capacity as President of the Carleton Women’s Liberal Association, I’ve had the privilege of working under Patricia’s leadership in the East region. Through her efforts, we’ve hosted events that championed women-focused policy, celebrated women who have courageously stepped forward as candidates, and raised significant funds for the Margaret Campbell Fund, which provides direct support to first-time Women candidates. In the recent provincial election, the OWLC provided each first-time Woman Candidate with a $2000 donation. Patricia’s leadership on fundraising in the East undoubtedly contributed to making that possible.

On a personal level, Patricia has been a mentor to me, as she has been to so many young women. Her encouragement and belief in my potential gave me the confidence to step forward, get more involved, and take on leadership roles within the Ontario Liberal Party. When I doubted myself or questioned whether I was ready to lead, Patricia was always there with thoughtful advice, unwavering support, and a steady belief in my abilities. With her guidance, I founded the first Women’s Liberal Club in Carleton and later joined the OWLC Executive—two milestones that would not have been possible without Patricia’s support and mentorship. Her example continues to inspire me, and I am deeply grateful for the way she champions and uplifts the next generation of women in politics.

Patricia’s dedication to supporting women and strengthening the Liberal movement in Ontario is unwavering. Her proven track record, leadership excellence, and passion for public service make her the clear and deserving choice for re-election as Vice President East for the OWLC. I wholeheartedly endorse her continued leadership and look forward to all that she will accomplish in the term ahead.

Danielle Takacs

President, Ottawa Centre Provincial Liberal Association

Past OWLC VP – Federal; OWLC Secretary and OWLC Young Women

There is nobody who is a better suited to continue as OWLC VP Eastern Region than Patricia Pepper. Patricia has worked tirelessly for decades supporting the women in Eastern Region who aspire to go to Queen’s Park. She has organized and run countless fundraisers both for the Margaret Campbell Fund in general, and for individual candidates. Every day during a provincial election Patricia is out there doorknocking or making phone calls for one candidate or another. And, in between campaigns, Patricia works tirelessly to recruit women to join the OWLC and the Liberal Party. She is the one who convinced me to become founding president of the Nepean provincial OWLC association, an organization that is 40 members strong. And I can unequivocally say, that would not have happened withoutPatricia’s invaluable and significant guidance, assistance and encouragement.

I am not alone in recognizing Patricia’s sizeable contribution. She has been awarded the Volunteer of the Year by the OWLC. And, if that isn’t impressive enough, Patricia somehow manages to find the time to also support other women’s causes including continuing to fundraise for Nelson House-a women’s shelter that exists, in part, as a result of Patricia’s lobbying efforts, and sitting on the Board of Distinguished Women Ottawa- an organization that recognizes women who have made significant contributions to their community. Patricia is a champion for women and especially a champion for women in the Liberal Party. As such, I wholeheartedly endorse Patricia Pepper for the position of VP, Eastern Region.

Uzma Khan

Director, Carleton Provincial Liberal Association

I am proud to strongly endorse Patricia Pepper for East Region Vice-President of the Ontario Women’s Liberal Commission.

As a young Liberal woman, I have benefitted tremendously from Patricia’s guidance and expertise. Always available and ready to lend a hand, she has been a mentor whose encouragement and support have inspired me and so many others to take risks, step into leadership, and thrive within the Ontario Liberal Party.

Patricia’s professional and community experience is equally remarkable. As a teacher, a social worker, President of Nelson House, and active member of organizations like the Osgoode Community Resource Centre and the Coalition for a Health and Community Centre in Ottawa, she has built a track record of advocacy, leadership, and service. Her work with parliamentarians and grassroots organizations alike reflects a breadth of knowledge that strengthens both our movement and the communities we serve.

Patricia has also been tireless in advancing women in politics. Through her leadership on initiatives like the Margaret Campbell Fund, she has helped first-time female candidates access the tools and resources they need to succeed. She has organized groundbreaking events, including the “Add Women, Change Policy” roundtable and “A Celebration of Women in Politics”, creating powerful spaces for women’s voices to be heard and amplified.

Patricia Pepper is a trailblazer who has dedicated her career to breaking barriers, opening doors, and building an Ontario Liberal Party where women can truly lead. That is why I wholeheartedly support her continued service on the OWLC, and why she has my full endorsement for Vice-President, East Region.

Faye Ali

President, University of Ottawa Young Liberals

“Add Women, Change Politics” is a refrain, a rallying cry, a statement of purpose for the OWLC, and no one truly lives it more than Patricia Pepper. As I’ve met the women involved in the Ontario Liberal Party, I have seen Patricia’s impact on each and every one. If a member doesn’t credit Patricia directly for bringing her into the party—which happens very, very often—she will tell me a story of how Patricia inspired her, and how much she respects Patricia’s leadership. And my story is no different—Patricia inspires me and earns my respect every single time I see her.

Patricia is a tireless leader within the party, motivating women to run for office, to volunteer, and to engage in the political process. She submitted more policy proposals to the East Region grassroots policy drive—with a focus on women’s issues, of course—than any other individual member, while juggling countless other roles within the party and the Ottawa community at large.

If you want a leader for East Region in the OWLC who will continue to grow, engage, motivate, and represent the women in our wonderful corner of the province, I can think of no one better suited than Patricia Pepper.

Isabel Metcalfe

Patricia Pepper is an amazing, dynamic person who has devoted so much time and energy into building a place where more women have support and backing to run as candidates in elections.

Our paths crossed some years ago, when Patricia and I were both serving on the board of Habitat for Humanity, and again many years later while she was chair of Nelson house, a local shelter, and I was with Shelter Movers. I was immediately impressed with her leadership and compassion to those in need.

She is a tireless fundraiser and a determined woman to whom it difficult to say no.

Personally, she has made me feel so welcome in the Liberal community and made sure I was informed as to how I might contribute to strengthening the provincial party. She is an admirable mentor to many and is most encouraging.

Patricia, most certainly, has my support for East Region Vice-President of the OWLC.
